Jefferson County, Illinois – US Bank is well on its way to completion of a new 3,909 square-foot bank building. This will replace its previous branch, located at 4100 Broadway in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. The facility will become the bank headquarters, replacing the downtown facility, located at 123 S. 10^th Street. Despite the move, the downtown bank location will maintain its detached drive-through location. U.S. Bank plans to ensure a continued presence by U.S. Bank for customers on the east side of the community.

Grand Opening

U.S. Bank has a grand re-opening celebration planned shortly after the April 29^th branch opening. The transition to the new building will not disrupt the existing tenants at the downtown location. They will continue their businesses uninterrupted. After the move, Jefferson County Development Corporation will work with U.S. Bank and its real estate consultants to find a new owner. The downtown office building has approximately 85,000 square-foot available.
