Groundbreaking
16-Nov-2011Representatives from Farm Credit Services of Illinois, the City of Mt. Vernon, the Jefferson County Development Corporation and the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce were on hand Tuesday morning for the official groundbreaking of the regional office for Farm Credit Services. The new 10,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed by May 2012, and will be a regional office, which will bring a team from the former Benton, Albion and Nashville offices to the King City. The Mt. Vernon Regional Office will be one of four, with other regional offices in Springfield, Decatur and Champaign.
